First of all, because on it - apart from the fight for the throne of Europe - tickets for the World Cup in Doha should have been distributed, as well as one for the Olympic Games in Paris. The news from the European Swimming Federation is particularly important for Montenegro, since the "sharks" are among the selections that have not yet secured visas for the World Cup and the Games.
And while at first it seemed that nothing would come of the European Championship, Berlin appeared.
As the specialized water polo portal "Total Waterpolo" writes, the capital of Germany has shown interest in organizing a men's water polo tournament, while the same desire for a women's EP came from Eindhoven.

Earlier, it was decided that four selections that do not yet have a visa for Paris should qualify for the Olympic Games from the capital of Qatar, with the fact that in the event of the cancellation of the European Championship, another ticket would be distributed.
The complicated water polo year, during which all three major competitions (EP, WC and OI) were to be held, were made even more complicated by the events in Israel.
