If he celebrates, Vladimir Gojković's team will play in Group C, which includes Serbia, Japan and the United States of America, at the World Cup, which begins on February 5.
In case of failure, the Romanians would enter that group, while Montenegro would go to D, with Italy, Hungary and Kazakhstan. All this, of course, is important because of the fight for the Olympic Games through Doha, in which the last four visas are handed out.
The first-placed teams from the four groups will win direct placement in the quarterfinals of the World Cup, while the second- and third-placed teams will go to the play-off for placement among the top eight.
"The match with Romania is of great importance. We have to win if we want to have an easier group at the World Cup. It is difficult to get back on the road after the defeat against Italy, but a triumph would bring us a lot.
