Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced that the Government will support Montenegro's candidacy for organizing the European Water Polo Championship in 2028.
"It is an opportunity to build indoor swimming pools and other water polo infrastructure in the larger cities of Montenegro," Spajić wrote on the X social network.
Tonight at the "Morač" swimming pool, he watched the last test match of the Montenegrin water polo players before going to the Olympic Games in Paris against Australia.
"We sent the 'sharks' to the Olympic Games, and we are preparing to host the best European selections together in 2028. Enough of unfulfilled promises, it's time for the results to speak, so far only in the pool, but from now on also outside it," added Spajić .
The match was also attended by the young water polo players who recently won bronze at the World Championships in Buenos Aires, and received special gifts from Spajić.
"The young water polo players, who won the third place on the planet, oblige us to provide them with the right conditions to stay at the top," concluded Spajić.
