Perhaps the best match of the young water polo players of Montenegro was played in the last round of the group stage, but they also registered a third failure, so they will enter the knockout stage of the European Junior Championship from the last place of group A.
After defeating Spain (8:6) and Hungary (13:9) in Burgas, the "Sharks" had to congratulate their peers from Croatia - who won against our selection 8:7 (2:3, 2:0) , 2:3, 2:1).
All this means that Miodrag Miorović's boys will play against the Netherlands in the round of 12.30 - the match with the "Tulips" is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
In an even match, Montenegro practically had the victory in their hands, after taking a 7:6 lead five and a half minutes before the end and keeping the advantage of one goal until the last 36 seconds.
Then Vlaho Pavlić tied the game at 7:7 with the fifth goal of the match, and the same player would be unstoppable a second before the end when he brought victory to the "young barracudas".
The scorers for our national team were Strahinja Gojković, Andrija Roganović and Draško Samardžić (two goals each) and Balša Vučković (one).
