The Board of Directors of the Water Polo and Swimming Association (VPSCG) dismissed the expert advice for water polo and swimming and noted the resignation of the Association's president, Đur Marić.
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of VPSCG, it was decided that the extraordinary session of the Assembly of the Association will be held on October 14 in Podgorica.
The Board of Directors assessed that the placement of the senior water polo team at the Olympic Games in Paris is a great success.
"The Board of Directors expressed its satisfaction that all three of our selections made it to the semi-finals of this year's major competitions, with two medals won," it is stated in the VPSCG announcement.
The national team of Montenegro won fourth place at the World Championship for players under 16 years of age (U16) in Malta, the U18 selection was third at the World Championship in Argentina, while the Montenegrin national team was second at the European Championship for players under 19 years of age in Bulgaria.
At the session of the Board of Directors, it was noted that Montenegrin swimmers have made great progress.
Miloš Milenković broke the Montenegrin record by one second in the 100-meter butterfly at the European Championships in Belgrade.
The Board of Directors is, as stated, satisfied with finding a compromise solution, because the Premier part of the Regional Water Polo League (RVL) will be played as a league this competitive season, in which Primorac and Jadran M:tel will compete.
The announcement also states that the inclusion of Budućnosti from Podgorica in senior water polo competitions is a great encouragement.
Budućnost will play in group B A1 of the RVL with another Montenegrin representative Katar from Kotor and clubs from Serbia, while Budva Budvanska Riviera will play in group A with clubs from Croatia and Branik from Maribor.
"The decision on the dissolution of the Expert Council for water polo and the dissolution of the Expert Council for swimming was unanimously adopted, as well as the decision on the modalities of the smooth playing and holding of water polo and swimming competitions until the election of new organs and bodies of the VPSCG", says the announcement.
It is stated that the report on the cross-section of the financial situation of VPSCG was also adopted at the session, in which it is stated that all incoming obligations have been settled and that there is money for basic functioning until the end of the year.
