It was not the best edition of Primorje, but it is remembered that it was the first victory in the regional Premier League of the season.
In the "Dragan Trifunović" swimming pool in Budva, the people of Kotor defeated Primorje 12:11 in a match in which they were in control the whole time, but also made mistakes that luckily for the Montenegrin champion were not punished.
The opening four minutes hinted at a routine triumph for Vjekoslav Pasković, who took an early lead of 3:0 (goals by Draško Brguljan, Savo Ćetković and Niko Šušijašvili), but later it was mostly an even duel in which the guests also had their chances.
The legendary Igor Hinić's team met an uncertain ending, they even had a last attack to equalize and win the top five, but it stopped there - Karlo Babić's shot from a not very easy position was stopped by the Italian goalkeeper Franćesko Masaro.
In the end, quality was the deciding factor, Primorac, above all, with its defense (Primorje used four of 13 attacks with an extra player) somehow repelled the onslaught of a team that only once again confirmed how unpleasant it can be, after surprising Radnički in Kragujevac in the first round.
Dušan Matković was a three-time scorer in the winning team, Brguljan, Savo Ćetković, Marko Mršić and Šušijašvili each scored two goals, and Nikola Brkić scored once.
