Water polo players from Primorje were defeated last night by Olympiakos (18:9) in the fourth round of the Champions League.
It is Kotor's fourth defeat in this competition, there are still two rounds left, so it is clear that Vjekoslav Pasković's team will move to the Eurocup after the group stage, where they will start from the round of 16.
"I don't think we can be satisfied with what we showed in the Champions League. Since the beginning of the competition, we have conceded a large number of goals, which is simply unacceptable at this level. A team like Olympiakos, if you give them even the slightest chance, they will punish it. In the first game, it didn't show in Athens, but tonight we saw that they punished even the smallest mistake," said Dušan Matković, water polo player from Primorje, after the match with the Athenians.
Until the end of the group stage, Primorac will host Savona, and they will welcome Sabadelj.
"We have to learn from our mistakes, this team does not have a lot of experience playing these games, so I hope that this lesson will be a lesson for the next games," said Matković.
