The man who dominated world water polo for ten years on the Serbian bench will now lead Montenegro.

A "bomb" echoed in water polo circles this morning, Dejan Savić is the new selector of "Sharks".

"For me, the invitation from Montenegro is first of all an honor, which I perceive as a great opportunity to achieve significant results together," said Savić for the Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro.

Savić also achieved many great victories through matches with Montenegro, and the "sharks" were often the toughest rivals of his "dream team".

"For many years we have been great sports rivals, but at the same time friends, which is why coming to Montenegro feels like coming among friends. Precisely because of this, this challenge will be a special pleasure for me, but also a great responsibility to which I will fully dedicate myself." , Savić is clear.

The first job of the new president of the Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro, Nikola Milić, was also the most difficult - to find a new coach after the departure of Vladimir Gojković.

"We are honored that Savić, as one of the world's most respected coaches, has accepted the invitation to take over Montenegro. He is recognized for his passionate approach and ability to motivate players, which is of great importance to us at this moment," Milić pointed out and added :

"In addition, our desire was for the selector to be someone who knows the mentality and specifics of this climate and what this sport means to Montenegro, and Dejan is aware of that, and there is no doubt about that," concluded Milić.
