On Friday and Saturday, Nikšić will host the final tournament of the Cup of Montenegro for water polo players, the Water Polo Swimming Association announced.
In the first semi-final, on Friday at 17:30, Jadran and Budućnost will play, while Primorac and Kataro will meet two hours later.
The final is scheduled for Saturday at 20 p.m.
Returning to Jadran's bench, Vladimir Gojković, said that the team from Herzegovina has the highest ambitions in the Montenegrin Cup.
"With all due respect to the Budućnosti team, I think we are big favorites. We have been preparing for it, we know what we can expect from the opportunity and we believe that we will play the final match on Saturday," said Gojković at the press conference.
He announced that Jadran will certainly not underestimate their rival and enter the match against Budućnost lightly.
"We have to prepare and understand the game in the most serious way possible. That's the only way we can justify the role of favorites and the team that should play the final, and that, I will repeat, is our goal - to win the trophy," said Gojković.
Budućnosti coach Aleksandar Aleksić reminded that his team is making its debut in the final tournament of the Cup of Montenegro.
"Jadran is the absolute favorite, and that duel will mean a lot to us in terms of gaining experience, for the challenges that await us in the continuation of the Regional A1 League. We cannot threaten Jadran, we will try to implement some things that we have been working on and that would be as expensive as possible to sell leather," Aleksic said
The coach of Primorje Vjekoslav Pasković said that before the season the goal was set - to win the title of the champion and the trophy of the Cup of Montenegro.
"We are in good shape and I believe that the tournament in Nikšić will show that we have the quality to win the first trophy this season. We are ready, we will decide on the trophy with Jadran. I believe that the winner of the final will be decided by the unity and spirit of the team," said Pasković.
The coach of Qatar, Ivan Bjelobrković, pointed out that the most important thing for his players is to enjoy and fight during the whole match in the duel with the city rival.
"Don't worry about the result. We will try to make the match as interesting as possible for as long as possible. It is an opportunity for young people to show that they can and have quality," said Bjelobrković.
The final is on Saturday at 20:XNUMX.
The trophy is being defended by Jadran, who in last year's final defeated Primorac from Kotor 15:10 (5:3, 3:3, 4:2 and 3:2) and won the Montenegrin Cup for the 14th time in the club's history.
