No one can stop Jadran M:tel in the regional Premier League - ever since October 26th of last year.
Vladimir Gojković's unstoppable team recorded their 15th consecutive victory in the Premier League against Radnički Kragujevac (13:12), overcoming the last difficult obstacle and holding first place as the leader ahead of the final four.
If the team from Novi Beograd defeats Primorje and Solaris, they will have the same number of points as Novi Beograd, which they are better than, and all of that, along with first place, would mean that they will host the final tournament of the regional league.
"I congratulate the players on an exceptional match and a great desire to win and maintain first place in the standings. There are two more rounds left and our goal is clear - to stay at the top before the final tournament," said Gojković.
The exciting match at Škver was decided by captain Aleksandar Ivović with a goal with two and a half minutes left in the game. Gojković's team entered the match a little slower, so the first goal came with two players more, 54 seconds left in the first quarter, when Vuk Milojević scored (1:1).
The former Serbian national team player continued the show at the beginning of the second quarter when he scored twice more, and Jadran took a two-goal lead for the first time (5:3) with just under five minutes left until the break through Vasilije Radović and Dmitri Holod.
Holod, Đorđe Lazić, Strahinja Gojković, Vasilije Radović and Matija Sladović maintained a plus two lead until the beginning of the last quarter when Radnički tied the score at 11:11 through Duško Pijetlović.
Radnički could have taken the lead, but Strahinja Rašović lost the ball when he was alone in front of goalkeeper Darko Đurović, and after a great fight on both sides, left-hander Danilo Stupar gave Jadran a new lead with three minutes left (12:11).
Radnički did not give up, they equalized once again, but when it was most difficult, the captain was there - with a great goal, Ivović brought a great triumph to Jadran.
Milojević finished the match with three goals, the same as he scored in Holod - twice Radoslav Filipović's goal was saved by Vasilije Radović, while Đurović made eight saves, including a penalty.
On the other side, the triple scorer was Strahinja Rašović.
