The Jadran M:tela water polo players started their visit to Rijeka slowly, and once they found the rhythm they wanted, there was no escape for Primorje.
The team from Novi Sad celebrated 17:8 for their 16th win in a row and are one step away from winning first place at the end of the regular season of the regional Premier League.
All they need to do is defeat Solaris from Šibenik in their final round (next Saturday).
Primorje led 3:0 and 4:1 in the first quarter, and Jadran took the lead for the first time midway through the second period when Vasilije Radović scored for 6:5.
It was later 7:6 for Vladimir Gojković's team, but the home team was still in the game after that and led in the 3rd quarter (8:7).
However, they stopped at eight goals - Jadran was powerful until the end, as evidenced by the 10:0 run that ended the match.
Jadran has 54 points heading into the final round, one more than Novi Beograd, which defeated Šabac 16:13 on Friday.
Dmitrij Holod was the most efficient in Jadran with three goals, Danilo Radović, Aleksandar Ivović, Matija Sladović, Danilo Stupar and Vuk Milojević scored two each, and Jovan Vujović, Đorđe Lazić, Strahinja Gojković and Vasilije Radović scored one each.
The team from Škvere also has a better head-to-head record than their Belgrade rival, so it is increasingly certain that the Premier League final tournament will be played in Herceg Novi.
Primorac achieved their third consecutive triumph in the regional elite, defeating Valis in Valjevo - 14:9.
The team from Kotor completely controlled the match, with several attempts leading by a plus six in favor of Vjekoslav Pasković's team, led by triple scorer Savo Ćetković.
Dušan Matković and Marko Mrsić scored twice each, while Draško Brguljan, Nika Šušijašvili, Srđan Janović, Nikola Brkić, Petar Ćetković, Đorđije Stanojević and Balša Vučković also scored.
