The water polo players of the Podgorica club Akvatik Verde are the champions of Montenegro in the junior cadet competition.
The championship, which brought together players born in 2012 and younger, featured seven clubs, who went through the group stage and then played knockout matches.
Akvatik Verde took second place in Group B, behind Mladost from Bijela, to whom they lost after a penalty shootout 10:9 (1:2, 3:1, 2:2, 1:2 and 3:2), before defeating Buducnost 13:7 (5:4, 2:1, 2:1 and 4:1) in the Podgorica duel.
In Group A, the maximum effect of three victories was achieved by the water polo players of Primorac, who were better than Nikšić 21:2 (5:1, 5:1, 6:0 and 5:0), Budva BR 14:8 (1:3, 7:3, 5:1 and 1:1) and Jadran m:tela 9:1 (3:0, 1:0, 3:0 and 2:1).
In the semifinals, Akvatik Verde defeated Primorac 7:6 (3:2, 2:2, 0:1 and 2:1), while Budva BR defeated Mladost 13:5 (6:1, 2:3, 2:1 and 3:0).
The final match brought an uncertain fight, and in the end, Aquatic Verde reached the cup, after a major turnaround in the third and fourth quarters - 8:7 (1:3, 1:2, 3:0 and 3:2).
Third place went to Primorac, who defeated Mladost 7:2 (2:0, 2:2, 0:0 and 3:0).
