The Montenegrin U15 water polo team won second place at the Easter Tournament, which was held in Novi Sad.
Our national team had a record of four wins and one loss in the tournament.
Montenegro's only defeat came against Hungary, who won the first match 11:9 (3:23, 1:1, 6:3, 1:2). Matija Franeta's five-goal performance was not enough.
The match with Italy in the 2nd round brought the dominance of our young team - 10:3 (2:1, 2:1, 3:1, 3:0). Dimitrije Milić scored three goals, Matija Franeta and Luka Popović two each, and Mlađan Kovačević, Jovan Abramović and Luka Novičić one goal each.
The second triumph was recorded in the duel with Croatia 9:6 (1:1, 1:1, 5:2, 2:2). The most efficient was Milić with three goals, Kovačević and Branko Đurđevac scored two each, and Filip Vukasović and Lazar Stepanov scored one each.
Montenegro then prevailed in the match against Serbia - 13:5 (4:1, 2:2, 5:1, 2:1), with Milić scoring nine goals, while Franeta, Kovačević and Abramović scored one each.
And in the end, the little “sharks” defeated Germany 14:8 (4:0, 3:0, 2:4, 5:4). Franeta and Abramović scored three goals each in that match, Kovačević and Nikola Mršulja scored two each, and Bajko Bajković, Milić, Popović and Vukašin Gojković scored one each.
The U15 selection in Novi Sad was led by coaches Aleksa Brkić, Đorđe Radošević and Dušan Ivanovski.
