Jadran M:tel celebrates its 13th Montenegrin championship title, and Aleksandar Ivović announced the end of his career.
The legendary Montenegrin water polo player returned to Škver this summer and was very important in winning the cup, which is back in the club's showcase after a year.
"This is the end. I might go to one of the countries where water polo is not developed to play a tournament and one or two matches, but at this level, that's the end of it. My emotions are mixed, it's been a long journey, a lot has happened during my 23 seasons of career," Ivović told RTCG.
The season was very good.
"I had a personal big motive in this series. I wanted to bring the title back to Škver - that was the biggest goal from the beginning of the season, especially after we were defeated by Primorac in the Cup final. We then had a great season in the Regional League and this was a good season that was crowned with a trophy," added Ivović.
Vladimir Gojković also returned to the club this summer.
"After a long time, it was very exciting, with great support from the stands. It was a tense series and I congratulate the team, I also congratulate Ivović - this final showed what kind of leader he is," said Gojković.
Primorac was close in all three final matches.
"There were three final games on one ball. We opened the match well again, but Jadran came back while mistakes in attack and conceded field goals cost us. We won the Cup, played in the Champions League after 13 years and we can be satisfied with a season that was long and tiring," Pasković pointed out.
