Vjekoslav Pasković's mission on the Primorac bench has ended after a year and a half and it seems that the Kotor club has already found a new head coach.
At this moment, as "Vijesti" has learned, the closest to the current winner of the Montenegrin Cup is the Greek Anastasios Kehajas.
Kehajas has previously worked at Dinamo Tbilisi and Spandau Berlin. He has experience managing Greek teams and national teams, was also the coach of Romania, and coached Egyptian Gezira. Živko Gocić, who left Novi Beograd a few days ago, is also mentioned.
Pasković succeeded Zoran Maslovar in mid-December 2023, and it was his first coaching job in his career - it turned out that Primorac's "gamble" with the former trophy player and Montenegrin national team player paid off because much better days have arrived.
In the 2023/24 season, Primorac ended Jadran's long-standing dominance and won the title, and the past season will be remembered for its Cup trophy, as well as its participation in the Champions League.
The second half of the season, however, was not as successful as the first, and for some time there was speculation that Pasković might be replaced. Primorac's leaders were patient, but in the end they had to hand over the championship crown to their great rival from Boka - Jadran celebrated 3:0 in the final series.
"We thank Vjekoslav Pasković for his work and professionalism as a coach in Primorac for two seasons, as well as for his achievements. We wish him much happiness and success in his business and personal life," Primorac announced on social media.
Primorac announced on Wednesday that it has brought in its first reinforcement for next season, in which it will play in the Champions League qualifiers - Stefan Vidović has arrived, and the arrival of Serbian goalkeeper Dimitrij Risticević is also expected to be confirmed, after Italian Francesco Massaro left the club.
The departures of leading players may worry fans - Montenegrin national team player Dušan Matković is continuing his career at Jadran from Split, left-hander Nika Šušijašvili is going to Hungary, Draško Brguljan has announced his retirement, while the future of Dragan Drašković is unknown.
