After great successes and trophies, Vjekoslav Pasković and the Primroac water polo club have ended their cooperation.
On this occasion, Vjekoslav - Vjeko Pasković, the legend of Montenegrin water polo, addressed the public with an open letter:
"Dear friends of sports, fans of Primorac, people of Kotor..,
After less than two seasons on the bench of the senior selection of the Primorac water polo club, the time has come for our paths to part in this format. This is not a farewell to the club I love, but the end of a professional stage that I remember with great pride, emotion and gratitude.
When we started this journey, we knew that we were carrying the burden of a glorious 103-year-long tradition, but also the obligation to return Primorac to where it belongs – to the top of Montenegrin, regional and European water polo. Thanks to the dedicated work of the entire team and the immense dedication of the players, we managed to achieve together what had been awaited for years – the title of champion of Montenegro after 16 years and the trophy of the Montenegrin Cup this season. We also achieved a return to the group stage of the Champions League after 14 years, played in the quarterfinals of the Eurocup, which is more difficult to achieve in this format than under the old competition system, as well as a place among the top seven in the extremely demanding Regional League.
Of course, it can always do better. And it must. Every season brings both successes and challenges, but also important lessons – both sporting and human. There are things that need to be worked on, inside and outside the pool. I hope that those who decide on the path the club takes will know how to recognize and appreciate honesty, expertise and goodwill, no matter who it comes from.
I owe a special thanks to the players – great guys who have endured these two seasons with a huge heart. They are the pride of this club, role models for the younger players and the best proof that hard work, discipline and togetherness pay off.
Primorac is not just a senior team. It is about 150 children, five junior teams and nine coaches who are building the foundations of the future every day. The results in the "Olympic Hopes" competition, where they have been the best for two years in a row, show that Primorac has enormous potential. This is a value that should be preserved.
There were challenges, different opinions, and comments from the sidelines. But sport teaches us to work quietly, speak with actions, and remain dignified. And that's exactly why I want to thank everyone who recognized and supported what I did with the team – the fans, friends of the club, and everyone who truly loves water polo.
"Primorac remains my club in my heart," Vjekoslav Pasković emphasized in a statement.
