It was announced earlier, now it's official - Lazar Andrić is the new goalkeeper for Jadran M:tel.
For the goalie who is preparing for the Montenegrin water polo team for the upcoming world championship in Singapore, all of this means returning home.
Andrić was born in Škver, but after high school he moved to the United States of America, where he played for the University of Berkeley.
"In his last season, he won the NCAA championship title and was the MVP of the finals," Jadran reminded.
This was followed by a return to Europe, where he first wore the Montpellier cap, and this summer he became a member of the club from his hometown again.
Andrić was a member of the "Sharks" during the 2023 World Cup, while this year he defended the goal of Montenegro at the final tournament of the World Cup in Podgorica. He will succeed Darko Đurović in goal for Jadran, who moved to Šabac.
