Mačić: We did not implement some of the details we had envisioned

The Montenegrin water polo team defeated China (13:8) this morning in the final group stage match of the World Championship in Singapore.

The "Sharks" achieved two victories in the group (over Greece and China), were defeated by Croatia, and are entering the round of 16 in second place, where they will face Canada.

"We have an extremely demanding group behind us. We started off great, with a win over Greece, we also played a quality game in the derby with Croatia, although we did not win the duel with the world champion. This morning we defeated China, a team that has been led by a quality coach for a long time. They gave us a hard time physically. We came out of the duel as winners, but we cannot be satisfied, because we did not implement some of the details that we had planned," said Aljoša Mačić.

Next up is a duel with Canada in the round of 16.

"We are turning to the round of 16 match. Of course, we expect to win and advance among the eight best national teams on the planet," added Aljoša Mačić.
