A perfect start to the season and five wins from as many matches were slightly spoiled by two consecutive losses to Pro Reka and Šabac, so the Jadran M:tel water polo players want a quick return to winning rhythm.
And the right place for that is the home of the current European vice-champion - Vladimir Gojković's team is visiting Novi Beograd in the 3rd round of the Champions League, and the match at the "11. april" pool will be played on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
This will be the second match against a team led from the bench by Petar Radanović, former coach of Jadran, after the team from Novi won in the Regional League at the end of October (17:16, after a penalty shootout).
"We sparred with them at the beginning of preparations for this season, then we played in a tournament, and recently a match in Herceg Novi that was tough and energetic. They are a team we know well and we know that it will be a difficult away game," said Lazar Andrić, goalkeeper of the team from Škvere.
Jadran and Novi Beograd have a mediocre performance after two rounds in the Champions League - both teams won against Jadran from Split, and were defeated by Pro Reka.
"I think the match in Belgrade means more to them, but we should definitely go for the win, because it could determine how the situation will develop and would help us a lot for the further course of the Champions League," Andrić added.
Primorac, our second representative in the Champions League, plays this round on Wednesday (8:30 p.m.) against Ferencvaros, the European champions.
