Hungary had no problems at the start of the European Championship in Belgrade - the water polo nation easily defeated France (15:7) in the first round of the group that also includes Montenegro.
Žolta Varga's team was the better rival from the first to the last minute - they led 3:0, then 8:3 and it was very quickly clear who would score the first three points.
The most efficient player in the winning team was Kristijan Manherc with four goals, followed by Vince Vigvari with three and Akos Nagy, Janos Fekete and Vinvce Varga with two each.
On the other hand, the best player in Vjekoslav Kobešćak's team was Toma Vernu with five goals.
The second match of this group will be played from 18 pm, and our water polo players will take to the Belgrade Arena pool - Montenegro should have an easy job against Malta.
