Seventh place is not good - the message from Montenegrin water polo coach Dejan Savić is clear after the last match at the European Championship.
The "Sharks" defeated Romania 21:15 in the match for seventh place.
"The players were motivated, they knew it was important. On the other hand, we again had oscillations and conceded too many goals. Our victory was deserved, but again with some question marks. The tournament is over, I don't think we can be satisfied," said Savić.
Montenegro won five games in Belgrade, losing two - to Hungary and Spain.
"We threw everything into the match against Hungary, and we were powerless against Spain. There were positive things, we know what shortcomings we have left and we have to correct them," said Savić.
The World Cup competition will follow in April.
"There will be no additional selection. We have to see the World Cup in early April. Excellent water polo was played here, the teams that made it to the semifinals showed the most, and the Netherlands is great," Savić pointed out.

The semi-final matches are on Friday - Greece vs. Hungary and Serbia vs. Italy.
"I said there would be four teams from the World Cup in Singapore. I was wrong about one," said Savić, referring to Spain, which finished in fifth place with a victory over Croatia.
