Exactly 10 years after they defeated Montenegro in the final at the Belgrade Arena for the European Championship title, Serbian water polo players have a new chance to conquer the Old Continent at the same venue.
The "Dolphins" have scheduled a water polo classic, on Sunday at 8:30 PM they will play against Hungary after they filled Italy's net to the brim - they celebrated 17:13.
Everything in the second semi-final clash was in the hands of Uroš Stevanović's team, not even the fact that a minute before the end of the first half they were left without Nikola Jakšić, who was sent off with the right to be substituted, did not affect them. If he could not play in the final, it would be a huge handicap for the host of the competition...

Even without such an important player, the question of the winner was not raised, so after three periods it was clear that Serbia was going to face Hungary because they had a 15:10 advantage before the last eight minutes.
Dušan Mandić and Strahinja Rašović led Serbia with four goals each, Đorđe Lazić and Nemanja Vico scored two goals each, and Miloš Ćuk, Nikola Jakšić, Nikola Dedović, Viktor Rašović and Vasilije Martinović scored one each.
The three-time scorers in the "settebela" cap were Filippo Ferrero, Matteo Joki Grata and Francesco Condemi.
