Water polo players Jadran m:tela and Primorac have found rivals in the round of 16 of the Eurocup - the team from Novalja will play against Panathinaikos from Athens, and the team from Kotor will play against Jug from Dubrovnik.
Jadran will play the first match in Athens on February 25th, while Primorac will host Jug in the first match. The second legs are on March 7th.
"We have drawn a very strong opponent. Panathinaikos has a good squad, we know that our national team player Dušan Banićević is there, as well as three Greek national team players. We will try to get to know them over the next seven days, because the first match is coming up soon. It will not be easy, but in order to go all the way, you have to beat strong opponents. And our goal is to go all the way and we will prepare with that idea in mind," said Jadran coach Vladimir Gojković.
Jadran and Primorac started the season in the Champions League. Jadran finished the season in third place in Group B, while Primorac was fourth in Group C.
