The U20 water polo team of Montenegro will play against the national teams of Spain, Germany and Serbia at the European Championship, as decided by today's draw.
The men's tournament will include Elite and Division I competitions, which will be held in Varna (Bulgaria) and Oeiras (Portugal), respectively. The women's championship will bring together 20 national teams, which will also play in Oeiras.
The competition will be held from August 10th to 16th. Our selection will compete in the Elite Division in Varna (Bulgaria).
The competition system in the group stage is round robin. After that, the two top teams from groups A and B (which includes our national team) advance directly to the quarterfinals.
The teams that finish third and fourth in groups A and B will compete against the teams that finish in the top two in groups C and D for the remaining positions in the quarterfinals.
