It's probably no longer clear to anyone what's really going on, but less than 24 hours before the scheduled water polo match between Primorac and Jug, there is still no indication whether the first match of the Eurocup round of 16 will even be played.
The people of Kotor do not want to host in Podgorica, the people of Dubrovnik do not want to play in the Kotor "Zoran-Džimi Gopčević" pool, and the directive of European Aquatics is clear and seems to leave room for no concessions.
Thus, it is requested that the Montenegrin champion, while awaiting the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), find a way to organize the match in our capital.
Primorac informed the public tonight that they had received instructions from EA...
"As already announced, and pending the final decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is expected no later than Wednesday, March 4th at noon, the first match will be played on Wednesday, March 4th at 19 p.m. in Podgorica," EA said in a statement.
Adding:
"In this regard, we kindly ask VPK Primorac to take all necessary steps to ensure that the match takes place according to the scheduled schedule. We also ask VK Jug to make all necessary preparations to participate in the match in Podgorica," it states.
If players from Primorac and Jug enter the pool on Wednesday, the match will start at 19 p.m., and the return match would be played in Zagreb on March 14th.
