The Primorac water polo team probably faces an impossible mission in the second leg of the Eurocup quarterfinals, but the sport has seen even bigger upheavals than the one needed by the Kotor team to extend the European season.
The Montenegrin vice-champion will play away to Radnički in Kragujevac (Saturday at 20 p.m.) after losing 14:10 in the first game at home.
It is clear that his chances are not great, because Radnički showed everything he was known to possess - quality, both individual and team, to take advantage of every gift from his opponent, although Primorac did not play a bad game. On the contrary...
"It's tough after being four goals down, and I don't think we were as weak as the result suggests," says Primorac captain Draško Brguljan, adding:
"We played a good game, but Radnički took advantage of some of our individual mistakes and rashness. Simply put, that's the kind of team that punishes every mistake," the legendary Montenegrin national team player pointed out.
However, Primorac believes - if not in a spectacular turnaround and passage, then at least that they can celebrate against Uroš Stevanović's chosen one.
"We are not giving up, we will do our best. The first goal is to play a good game, and if the chance arises, we will try to win. Radnički is still the favorite to win the Eurocup, but we do not want to give up," added Brguljan.
Whatever happens in tomorrow's match, Primorac will arrive in Šumadija again in about twenty days - for the final tournament of the Premier Regional League.
The Kotor team finished the regular season in second place, behind Radnički and ahead of Jadran M:tel and Šabac, so the Boka Kotorska derby will decide who will advance to the finals on April 17th.
