Primorac endured a lot in an excellent semi-final of the Regional Water Polo League against Jadran M:tel - practically from the start they chased their rivals, reached minus three at the end of the third quarter and deservedly advanced to the final for the first time.
The team from Kotor celebrated after a penalty shootout 22:20, led by Marko Mrsic, who was named player of the match.
"We didn't really expect this, it was minus three, but in the end we won the penalties... Now the most important thing is to forget everything and wait for the final," said Mršić.
Who do you expect in the final - home team Radnički or Šabac?
"First of all, we expect to fight and enjoy ourselves, the entire tournament is at an exceptional level, so it will certainly be a nice final," added Mršić.
For the great Primorac water polo player, the MVP award is a secondary consideration.
"This is not my award, but everyone's, we train for a very long time so all of this goes to the team, not me," concluded Mršić.
Jadran had a two-goal lead for a long time, then the aforementioned 13:10, but this season - like last - the final four ended in the semifinals.
"As the match went on, I thought we were going to celebrate, from the first duel I felt how strong and united we were - I think we should have won. It was a great match, one that the water polo audience enjoyed," said Vasilije Radović, captain of Jadran.
The team from Novi Sad organized a great action in just a few seconds at the end of the match, but according to the referee's assessment, the ball did not cross the intended goal line.
"I'm sorry that that goal wasn't recognized in the last second, but kudos to Primorac. It remains a big regret for us," added Radović.
Jadran will play the match for 3rd place on Sunday.
"There's one more match left, whoever the rival is, we're not going to think about it, we're just going to win and finish the competition in a nice way," concluded Radović.
