The Montenegrin water polo team has begun preparations for the final tournament of the World Cup, which is scheduled for July 22-26 in Sydney. The first gathering was attended by national team players who have completed their club commitments, while the remaining players will successively join the preparations.
The list of coaches of Dejan Savić includes: Petar Tešanović, Darko Đurović, Ilija Radović, Miroslav Perković, Savo Ćetković, Vladan Spaić, Dušan Banićević, Jovan Vujović, Aljoša Macić, Matija Sladović, Vasilije Radović, Tim Perov, Aleksa Ukropina, Đuro Radović, Đorđije Stanojević, Balša Vučković, Danilo Stupar, Dušan Matković, Strahinja Gojković and Nikola Moskov.
The coaching staff of our national team consists of: head coach Dejan Savić, assistant coaches Nebojša Milić and Nikola Mijanović, fitness coach Edward Bonello, physiotherapist Vladislav Mlađen, doctor Vasko Roganović, video analysis expert Vasko Vučković, psychologist Helena Rosandić and team manager Dragan Drecun. The "Sharks" earned their place in the Superfinal by winning first place in the qualifying tournament in Malta.
Our team's rival in the quarterfinals is Greece on July 23rd, while in the semifinals they would meet the better team from the duel between Italy and Georgia.
The other quarterfinal pairs are: Spain - Australia and Hungary - Croatia.
