Hot water polo summer for the younger sharks, Vukanić: Test with Croatia announced and opening of the national team season

There will be no major competitions for seniors this summer, but the younger water polo teams of Montenegro will be very active in the coming months.

Nenad Vukanić, coordinator of the junior selections, spoke about the plans awaiting the young "sharks".

"We are working together with the Spanish national team, which is the world champion in that category. We have a large number of competitions, starting with the World Championship in Portugal for eighteen-year-olds. We are traveling for the 25th time. The championship starts on June 27th, and we return home on July 5th," says Vukanić.

This will be followed by the World Championship in Zagreb for players under 16.

"It is early August and the junior season ends with the European Championship in Bulgaria from August 12th to 19th. In addition to these three categories, the senior national teams will also be involved," added Vukanić.

There will also be new activities related to water polo.

"I can announce that in early September we will have some activities related to whip water polo, a sport that is developing and trying to rise to a higher level," Vukanić pointed out.

Our U16 team will have a test match against Croatia at Škveru tomorrow (Wednesday) at 20 pm.

"The match in Herceg Novi is the overture to this season. We are playing against Croatia, an ideal opportunity to greet the generation. The senior national team will also be there. So this will be an introductory gathering of all our selections. It is also the announcement and opening of the national team season," concluded Vukanić.
