A major incident occurred at the finish of the final performance of the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, when Italian born in Berane, Matteo Joki Grata bit Montenegrin national team member Danilo Stupаr on the shoulder.
Two details are particularly indicative - the "bite" occurred at a time when the Azzurri were leading by three points, four and a half minutes before the end, when they were close to victory, and the second was the decision of Hungarian referee Tamás Kovács Čaltos.
Not only did he not sanction Grata's move, but Stupar earned brutality, and Dejan Savić also had to go to the stands to protest.
The Montenegrin coach's reaction was particularly heated - Savić stood up for his player, he had a message for Grata, but also for the referee; and it's good that he managed to contain himself.
The Sharks won the silver medal at the Mediterranean Games, after being defeated 18:14 in the final.
For Grata, who has repeatedly said that he feels Montenegro is "his country", this is not the first incident of this kind.
When he kneed Stylianos Argyropoulos in the head in the World Cup quarter-final against Greece last year, he was subsequently suspended for four games.
It remains to be seen whether he will be suspended this time.
