Tonight, Partizan basketball players beat Cedevita Olimpija 85:70 (18:8, 24:18, 18:16, 25:28) in the first match of the semi-final series of the regional ABA league.
Partizan was led to victory by James Nanelli with 18, Jam Madar with 13, Dante Exum with 11 and Uroš Trifunović with 10 points.
Jogi Ferel with 13, Karlo Matković with 12 and Zoran Dragić with 10 points were in double figures for the visiting team.
Cedevita Olimpija entered the match better and took the lead with 6:2, but from that moment the "black and whites" played much better and finished the first quarter with a 16-point advantage (2:10) with a 18:8 series.
By the end of the half, Partizan, led by Naneli, managed to increase the advantage and went to the break with a 16-point lead (42:26).
In the continuation of the match, Partizan controlled the game, and with a calm game maintained the advantage from halftime, and reached the lead in the semi-final series.
Placement in the final will be won by the first team to reach two victories, and the next match will be played on Tuesday, May 30 in Ljubljana.
