Dream days for Miloš Vujović - the Montenegrin representative is in the competition for the best winger in Europe, and from today he will have an additional "touch" in his hands, because he won the EHF European League.
In the final in Flensburg, his Fuhse stopped the "killer" of German clubs, Granollers (36:31), and for the third time in the club's history won the second-highest continental competition.
Interestingly, the team from Berlin was the best in 2015 and 2018, and was defeated in the finals in 2017, 2019 and 2021. Therefore, it did not reach the trophy match only last season in the last eight years, because the competition was interrupted in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Spanish team shocked everyone in the quarterfinals by eliminating Flensburg, which had already applied for the organization of the final four after winning the first match in Catalonia 31:30, but was defeated 35:27 in the second leg!
In the semi-final in the north of Germany, Granollers was better than Göppingen (31:29), and in the final they led 9:7.
Then Fuhse made the series 6:0 and announced the triumph, and Vujović scored two goals, three less than the day before in the semi-final with Montpellier (35:29).
Lase Anderson was the most effective with eight goals, Fabijan Vide and Hans Lindberg scored six each, and Mijajlo Marsenić from Beran and Matijas Gidsel scored five each.
In the defeated team, the best players were the Chilean Esteban Salinas and Antonio García Robledo with seven goals each.
