Milena Raičević addressed the public after the head coach of the Montenegrin national team, Bojana Popović, said that the trust between the two was "lost".
Raičević said that she did not know that the relationship between the two was broken, and she said that her representative career was not over.
Yesterday, Popović announced the list of players for the World Cup, and the captain until recently was not on it, because she sued Budućnost Bemax for unpaid wages.
Milena Raičević's response is transmitted in its entirety:
"I didn't talk about the club and I won't, because I believe that what is happening in the club is a relationship between us that can only be resolved where it belongs according to the contract. question, I did not want to damage that relationship with my public reactions. Today's address is solely on the occasion of the selector's address and her statement today that 'our relationship is damaged' and that is why I am not in the national team".
"I just want to say that everything was as it should be in the relationship between the selector and me, even after the suspension from the club I did not believe that there was any problem between her and me until today I read the announcement that our relationship was broken. As a selector with so many players and with her coaching experience, she was able to remove the dilemmas of whether there were problems and trust with one conversation. But to everyone's face. Of course, aware that with this decision of hers my dreams about the World Cup are over, I promise everyone that I will still continue to dream my dreams and that my national team the career is not over, whoever the selector is. That's why I don't want to further deepen any discussion on this topic, because these girls who are on the list (and they are the real heroines of our country) first of all need our support and collective energy to try to win the quarterfinals and qualification for the OI".
"My dear 'lionesses', I believe that you can do it. I love you and I will support you with all my heart, because you are my strength, and your success is also mine. That is why I am asking the entire Montenegrin public to conclude this topic, and give the girls a full wind at their backs, because they need it most now, because Milena or Bojana is not important, Montenegro is important, that's why - for Montenegro EVERYONE", said Milena Raičević.
