Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said tonight that he will not apologize for the accusation that Israel is carrying out ethnic cleansing in the northern Gaza Strip and contradicted the oft-repeated claim that Israel's military is the most moral in the world.
The United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) announced that it is suspending the delivery of aid through the Kerem Shalom crossing, which is the main entry point for humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The Commissioner General of the Agency, Filipe Lazarini, said that the road leading from that crossing has not been safe for months.
"On November 16, armed gangs stole a large convoy of trucks. On Saturday, we tried to deliver food aid along the same route with several other trucks and they were all hijacked," Lazarini said in a post on Platform X.
He said that this difficult decision was made at a time when hunger is spreading rapidly in Gaza.
"The delivery of humanitarian aid must never be a dangerous process or turn into a huge problem," warned Lazarini.
As he stated, the responsibility for the protection of humanitarian workers and deliveries lies with the State of Israel as the occupying power.
"They must ensure the safe flow of aid to Gaza and must refrain from attacking aid workers. I again call for a ceasefire that would also ensure the safe and unhindered delivery of aid to people in need," Lazarini concluded.

The United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced today that it is stopping the delivery of aid through the main cargo crossing to the Gaza Strip, due to the threat of armed gangs that recently robbed convoys, and it largely blamed the actions of Israel for the violation of law and order.
The decision could worsen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians live in tent camps and are dependent on international aid. Experts have already warned of famine in the north of the territory, which was almost completely isolated by Israeli forces in early October.
The head of UNRWA, Filip Lazarini, said that the route leading to the Kerem Shalom crossing is too dangerous.
In a post on X, Lazarini blamed Israel for the collapse of humanitarian operations in Gaza, citing "political decisions to limit the amount of aid," lack of road safety and Israeli targeting of Hamas-run police forces that previously provided public security.
Israel claims it is missing out on sufficient aid to Gaza and blames UNRWA and other agencies for delivery failures.

At least six people were killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, including two children, in a tent settlement where they took shelter, officials announced today.
In the attack on the spacious Muvasi tent camp, which houses hundreds of thousands of displaced people, the mother of the dead children, a brother and a sister were wounded, Nasser Hospital announced.
The AP reporter saw the bodies of the dead in the hospital.
In a separate attack on the southern town of Rafah, on the border with Egypt, four men were killed.
The Israeli army has not commented. Israel claims it only targets militants and tries to avoid harming civilians, but daily strikes across Gaza often kill women and children.
Yemen's Houthi rebels fired a rocket at Israel. Alarm sirens sounded, but the Israeli military said it intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli territory.
