Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday there was no point in discussing what US President Donald Trump said about a plan to take over the war-torn Gaza Strip, Reuters reported.
"From our perspective, there is nothing worth talking about the proposals put forward by the new US administration regarding Gaza under pressure from the Zionist lobby," Erdogan said at a news conference.
"This plan is completely futile... No one has the power to remove the people of Gaza from their homeland. The people of Gaza will continue to stay in Gaza, live in Gaza and protect Gaza," he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called US President Donald Trump's proposal for the United States (US) to take control of the Gaza Strip "revolutionary" tonight.

The family of hostage Alon Ohel, who was kidnapped by members of the Palestinian Hamas movement, said they had received a sign of life from him for the first time since he was kidnapped from a music festival on October 7, 2023, the Times of Israel reported.
The Gaza Civil Defense said Israeli forces killed three civilians today, while the Israeli army said it fired "warning shots" at Palestinians approaching its forces in the Palestinian territory.
The incident took place in Gaza City in the context of a fragile ceasefire between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel, which has been in effect since January 19th.
Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal stated that "three martyrs were killed and several people were wounded following shots fired by Israeli occupation forces at civilians in the eastern parts of Gaza City."
He urged residents to avoid those settlements and Israeli military positions, stressing the importance of following official guidelines.
The Israeli military admitted that its forces fired as individuals approached its positions.
The military reiterated its commitment to defending Israeli citizens and respecting the ceasefire, while warning Gaza residents not to approach its forces in the area.
The war in the Gaza Strip broke out on October 7, 2023, following a Hamas attack on Israeli territory.
The attack killed 1.210 people on the Israeli side, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli information.

A pregnant 23-year-old Palestinian woman was killed on Sunday in a shooting by Israeli security forces in the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
Sundos Jamal Mohamed Shalabi, who was eight months pregnant, was killed by Israeli fire, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the fetus did not survive and that her husband was seriously wounded.
The Palestinian state news agency quoted witnesses as saying that Shalabi and her husband were shot by Israeli forces as they tried to leave their home.
The Israeli army earlier announced that it was expanding its raid in the northern West Bank to the Nur Shams camp, located near the Palestinian city of Tulkarm.
The Israeli military, police and intelligence agencies began a deadly raid in Jenin on January 21, claiming to be targeting terrorists. The operation has now expanded to Tulkarm, Al Fara and Tamun.
Soon after the civil war began in 2011, the Kurds filled the vacuum left by the withdrawal of government forces from northeastern Syria. The Kurds now control about 25 percent of Syria.
They do not want full autonomy with their own government and parliament, but only decentralization.
The Israeli army has completed its withdrawal from the Netzarim Corridor, which divides the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, to a buffer zone, as part of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
Al Jazeera reports that vehicles are currently passing through the checkpoint as they arrive from the central and southern parts of the Strip.
The Netzarim Corridor has become a major Israeli military base over the past 15 months. It is now completely razed to the ground, with no buildings remaining, and most of the agricultural land has been bulldozed by the Israeli military, according to Al Jazeera reports.
In Gaza, they hope that the withdrawal of the Israeli army will allow for freer movement, and that vehicles and trucks with humanitarian aid will be able to reach the northern part of the Strip.
The agreed 42-day ceasefire is just about halfway through, and the signatories are expected to negotiate an extension that would lead to the release of more Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The agreement is fragile and an extension is not guaranteed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a delegation to Qatar, but the mission included only lower-ranking state officials, sparking speculation that it would not lead to an extension of the ceasefire, Beta reports.
It was agreed that during the first phase of the ceasefire, Hamas would gradually release 33 Israeli hostages captured during the attack on October 7, 2023, in exchange for a pause in fighting, freedom for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, and the passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
In the second phase, all remaining hostages would be released in exchange for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
