Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Iran was ready to "consider diplomacy" on condition that "Israeli aggression stops."
Speaking to reporters after hours of talks with European foreign ministers in Geneva, Araqchi said:
"Iran is ready to reconsider diplomacy, but only when the aggression stops and the aggressor is held accountable for the crimes committed... We support the continuation of talks [with Britain, France, Germany and the European Union] and express our readiness to meet again soon," Araqchi told reporters after hours of talks with European foreign ministers in Geneva.
Meanwhile, European foreign ministers told reporters that they had called on Iran to engage in nuclear negotiations without waiting for an end to Israeli airstrikes.
"We have called on the Iranian minister to consider negotiations with all parties, including the United States, without waiting for the cessation of attacks, although we also hope for that," French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said.
"It is illusory and dangerous to try to impose regime change from the outside. It is up to the people to decide their own fate," Barro added after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not rule out the possibility of an assassination of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale has struck the area near the Iranian city of Qom.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred 16 kilometers from the town of Sorke, in Semnan province, the Guardian reports.
No casualties have been reported so far.
A US official said that US special envoy Steve Witkoff is in regular contact with the Iranians, with Qatar acting as a mediator, Reuters reports.
On Thursday, three diplomats told Reuters that Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had spoken by phone several times since Israel began its attacks on Iran.
According to diplomats, Araqchi said that Iran will not return to the negotiating table until Israel stops the attacks.
Diplomats added that the talks included a brief discussion of a US proposal made to Iran in late May, proposing the formation of a regional consortium to enrich uranium outside Iran, a proposal that Tehran rejected.

Another 20 people suffered minor injuries, mostly from the explosion and shrapnel.
The MDA also reported that in the city of Karmiel, a 51-year-old woman died in a shelter from a heart attack.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran could ignite a fire that no one will be able to control, and called on all parties to the conflict, as well as potential parties, to "give peace a chance."
Guterres made the remarks before the United Nations Security Council as European foreign ministers met with their Iranian counterparts, hoping to test Tehran's willingness to negotiate a new nuclear deal, despite the dim prospect that Israel will soon halt its attacks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has shared with Israel and Iran its ideas on how to end the bloodshed, and that he believes there is a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
He did not specify what the proposals were, reports the Guardian.
Putin said that Russia is in contact with "our Israeli and Iranian friends" and that Moscow's proposals are currently being considered.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah against getting involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran, amid fears that continued escalation could drag other regional actors into the conflict.
"I suggest that this Lebanese puppet be careful and understand that Israel has lost patience with the terrorists who threaten it. If there are further terrorist attacks, Hezbollah will be gone," Katz said in a post on the X network on Friday morning, the Guardian reports.
Katz's warning came in response to a statement by Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, who said on Thursday evening that the Iranian-backed group was not neutral in the war between Iran and Israel and would "act as it sees fit."
The death toll in Gaza from Israeli attacks on Friday has risen to at least 60 people, according to the Gaza Civil Defense Agency, reports The Guardian.
According to a report by Agence France-Presse (AFP), officials said at least half of the victims were killed while waiting in line for humanitarian aid.
Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal told AFP that five people were killed while waiting for help in the southern Gaza Strip, and another 26 near the central section known as the Netzarim Corridor, an Israeli-controlled strip that cuts through Palestinian territory.
Thousands of Palestinians gather at the site every day in the hope of getting food, as Gaza faces famine after more than 20 months of war.
The Israeli army told AFP that its troops in the Netzarim area first fired "warning shots" at "suspects" who were approaching them.
When the individuals continued to move towards the soldiers, "the aircraft carried out a strike and eliminated the suspects to eliminate the threat," the military said in a statement.
Elsewhere across the territory on Friday, Basal said 14 people were killed in two separate attacks in and around the central city of Deir el-Balah, while another 13 people were killed after three Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza City area.
One of those attacks, which killed three people, hit a phone charging station in the city, Basal added.
In southern Gaza, two more people were killed by "Israeli fire" in two separate incidents, he concluded.
At least one Israeli was seriously injured in an Iranian missile attack, reports Haaretz.
The Israeli portal reported that at least 20 rockets were identified, some of which hit the Beersheba and Haifa areas.
One person was reported to have been seriously injured and another suffered moderate injuries in Haifa, where they were evacuated by medical teams, the Guardian reports.
Meanwhile, an official warning was issued that the danger had passed.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered the military to step up attacks on "symbolic regime targets" in the Iranian capital Tehran, with the aim of destabilizing the government.
"We must strike at all symbols of the regime and mechanisms of repression against the population, such as the Basij militia, as well as at the foundations of the regime's power, such as the Revolutionary Guard," Katz said in a statement, Reuters reported.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned Lebanon's Hezbollah to be cautious, saying Israel's patience with the "terrorists" who threaten it has run out.
The leader of Iran-backed Hezbollah, Na'im Qassem, said on Thursday that the Lebanese group would act as it saw fit in the face of what he called "brutal Israeli-American aggression" against Iran, Reuters reported.
The Israeli military said it carried out overnight strikes on dozens of military targets in Iran, including a strike on the Defense Innovation and Research Organization (SPND), which it claims is involved in the development of Iranian nuclear weapons, Reuters reports.
