The race will be held on Saturday, May 9th, on Gorica Hill in Podgorica and will bring together a large number of runners, recreational athletes and outdoor sports enthusiasts from Montenegro and the region. The specific format of the race involves the start of a new lap every 30 minutes, without a predetermined end - until only one competitor remains on the track.
"Last One Standing" represents a unique combination of physical endurance, mental strength and sportsmanship, and it is precisely this format that makes this race particularly attractive for both participants and spectators. The 3,5-kilometer course with a 50-meter climb further tests the limits of competitors' endurance, while this year's edition also brings a significant prize pool, as well as special benefits for participants with experience in ultra and trail races.
"Last One Standing pushes the boundaries year after year and is becoming one of the most interesting ultra races in the region. This year we expect the strongest edition so far, with a large number of elite runners from several countries, which is why we believe that the course record could finally fall. The current record is an impressive 185,50 kilometers, or 26 hours of continuous running, but the competition we have this weekend shows that new achievements are possible. This year's edition is also given special weight by the record prize fund of 2.500 euros, while the winner from Gorica will take home a check for 1.500 euros," said race director Igor Majer.
The start of the race is scheduled for 12:00 on Gorica Hill, and the organizers invite all sports and recreation enthusiasts to support the participants and be part of another exciting edition of the "Last One Standing" race.
