The problem of parking and traffic chaos in Ulcinj should be solved by the establishment of the Parking service company, the city councilors are convinced.
"The municipality has lost, as predicted in the report, about 300 thousand euros in annual income. We believe that it is really time to form this, to start working," says Omer Bajraktari from the Citizens' Movement URA.
"There must be some order in the parking itself, in the behavior in traffic itself," points out Ardian Mavrić from Force.
Only one member of the DPS was against, who believes that the Decision was not adopted in accordance with the law. The future company, he says, does not have a board of directors, but its work will be supervised by the president of the municipality.
"It is true that the president of the municipality advocates and represents, but does not manage. Such a decision cannot be registered with the Commercial Court," says Borislav Bašović from DPS.
Even those who voted "for" admit that it is not a good solution.
"I personally am more of a supporter of having a Board of Directors or a supervisory body that is not directly composed of the president of the municipality," Mavrić says.
"I think that at this moment the President of the Municipality has too much authority," Bajraktari points out.
The president of the municipality explains that this decision was made in order to speed up the process of forming a company and reduce costs.
"We will all manage the parking service, I will not, absolutely. Don't think that I am an autocrat and that I want to be me and no one else," emphasizes the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Ljoro Nrekić.
The parking service should start working in May.
