The killer of 69-year-old Kotor resident Veselin Vukotić was recorded by surveillance cameras, but that footage is of no use to investigators for now.

As Televizija Vijesti has learned, the video shows a man with a cap, but not his face.

He fired eight bullets at Vukotić in front of his apartments in Dobrota last night just before 21 p.m.

The murder of Vukotić, whose sons Jovan and Igor are known as the leaders of the "Skaljar" criminal clan, the investigators, of course, see as a continuation of the bloody war of Kotor's criminal groups in which 40 people were killed in five years.

The shots hit Vukotić in the upper part of the body, and all the efforts of the Kotor hospital doctors to save him were unsuccessful.

"He was transported to the Kotor General Hospital for medical assistance, where he died as a result of his injuries. The officers of the Police Department, in coordination with the prosecution, are undertaking intensive activities to identify the person who committed this crime and shed light on the incident," the Administration announced. of the police.

An unknown man with a cap waited for Vukotić's arrival and the moment the Kotoran got out of his armored Audi, he crossed the street and shot him.

The killer then walked away from the scene of the crime, and it is believed that support and a getaway car were waiting for him nearby.

As always, during the reconnaissance, the police blocked off the city and began searches, but all this, as many times before, did not yield results.

Video recordings from Vukotić's facility, as well as buildings and private houses nearby, were also excluded.

In the materials reviewed so far, as Televizija Vijesti has learned, nothing was found that would help in the investigation because there is no character of the killer.

You can only see how he walked away and that after about 30 meters all traces of him are lost.

All this, as the Vijesti TV source adds, clearly indicates that the killer, in addition to following Vukotić's habits for a long time and carefully, also examined the terrain very well and found the most suitable place to carry out his criminal plan.

The motive for the liquidation was immediately apparent.

It is probably a continuation of the showdown between the two Kotor criminal clans, Kavački and Škaljarski, whose leaders are said to be the sons of the murdered man - Jovan, who is in Belgrade prison, and Igor, who is on the run.

Murders of parents of high-ranking members of these clans are not unknown.

Two years ago, still unknown persons killed 66-year-old Niko Roganović in Herceg Novi, whose son Duško, who is considered to be a person close to the bars, and who was injured in a bomb explosion three months earlier.
