Bill is a successful writer who hasn't written a word since his wife Erika left him three years ago. Meanwhile, he takes an interest in her spying and quarrel with her married neighbor Trisha, trying to raise her children, teenagers Samantha and Rasti, along the way.
Samantha has published her first novel and is determined to avoid love at all costs after seeing how her parents went. However, she meets the cute Lu, who is ready to do anything to win her over. Rasti is also a promising young writer, and along the way he falls in love with the beautiful, but also problematic Kate, and thus, for the first time, experiences what "broken heart" means.
