The curator of the Museum of Yugoslavia in Belgrade, Sara Sopić, spoke for Colors of the Morning about the action of this museum in creating a virtual exhibition of old items of daily life in Yugoslavia.
"In our museum, there is a large number of items from the old Yugoslavia, first of all those items that were often used, but also internationally recognized for their design," says Sopić.
As he says, the entire campaign was prepared to make the period of isolation more interesting, however, they did not expect such a large response.
"We receive a large number of messages and photos on a daily basis, mostly on social networks, people are very creative in the way they photograph objects, and we are especially glad that the region also got involved, so photos are also arriving from Croatia and Montenegro," he says. Sopic.
She adds that photos of a wide variety of objects, clothing, posters, badges, crockery, old televisions and numerous technical devices from everyday use are arriving in large numbers.
"For now, we publish all the objects that come to us, so anyone who posts a photo with the hashtag #yud and tags the Museum of Yugoslavia, that photo automatically appears on the museum's social networks," says Sopić and adds that the idea is to later create a special design for individual objects and organizes a virtual exhibition.
