Coronathon starts today, the first online hackathon in Montenegro for the development of innovative solutions in the fight against the coronavirus, which Tomica Paović spoke about for Boje jutra, in front of UNDP, one of the organizers of the hackathon.

"We are proud of the network that Coronathon managed to gather in a very short time, which resulted in over 150 registered ideas, from which the expert jury selected 15 teams that will work on the development of specific ideas," said Paović.

As he said, the key criteria for the selection were the reality of the proposed solutions, their efficiency and sustainability after the coronavirus epidemic.

"Thirty mentors from different fields, medicine, engineering, architecture, art and culture, will work with the teams," added Paović and pointed out that the selected ideas were from a wide variety of topics.

"Ideas about the production of mechanical ventilators, tools for psychological help, digital stores, help for freelancers' work and many other truly innovative ideas were represented," adds Paović.

He noted that the hackathon can be followed on the website coronathon.me, where a live broadcast of presentations of all ideas will be organized on Sunday, from 17 to 19 p.m.

"With the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Science, we have provided valuable prizes, so the first-placed team will receive five thousand euros for the realization of their idea, the second-placed team will receive three thousand euros and the third-placed team will receive two thousand euros, while three prizes for the youngest teams, in the amount of one thousand euros", said Paović.
