Sick leaves approved by first-level medical commissions, which have already been extended until March 30, will now automatically be extended until May 15. Sick leave determined by the selected doctor for the insured in the event of the need to extend the sick leave for more than 30 days, the insured submits a request to the selected doctor on the basis of which the doctor evaluates the justification of the request and accepts or rejects the request. If the request is accepted, the selected doctor is forwarded electronically to the first instance committee, and later the Health Insurance Fund extends the sick leave until May 15, said Sead Čirgić, director of the Health Insurance Fund (FZO), who was a guest at Boje jutra.
"I would invite the insured to use the electronic service e-sickness in order to send requests for the extension of sick leave, in order to reduce the number of contacts between the insured and the doctor," said Čirgić.
He added that the Health Insurance Fund has undertaken activities for the procurement of aggregates.
"We acquired seven aggregates for hospitals. The value of the acquisition is 343.000 euros. We replaced aggregates that were 30 years old. We ensured greater security in the work of health care. The funds for the procurement were provided by the Ministry of Finance," said Čirgić.
The Director of the Fund added that he is telling citizens to use electronic services as much as possible and to adhere to all measures recommended by doctors.
