All the services of the Clinical Center of Montenegro are available to patients from today, as it was before the coronavirus epidemic.
"In these two months, patients who have not been examined, will be examined starting today, and until 22 and 23 p.m., depending on which clinic. The patients will be examined with the additional effort of both the doctor and the middle medical staff, so I expect that very soon, these patients that we failed to examine, we will do so in this period. We only call them. So we have them in the database, we call them and give them appointments for their examination", said the director of the Clinical Center Jevto Eraković.
When it comes to examinations, where there are usually certain waiting lists, Eraković notes that specifically Oncology was working at full capacity and that they don't have too much work to do.
"We have some clinics that will regulate it in 10-15 days, what you said where there was a longer waiting list, there is also a larger number of patients who are examined during the day. Operations are returning, partially orthopedics and neurosurgery will still be directed towards Risno, as far as trauma is concerned. And as for the regular operational program, everything will be done in KC", added Eraković.
Erakovic admits that after two months of fighting with COVID-19, this will be an additional effort for healthcare workers. All patients who come for examination will have to undergo a special regime.
"Every patient entering the KC must wear a protective mask. Upon entry, our staff will measure the temperature and perform hand disinfection. And we have set the exact distances for the distance, so they must have a physical distance during their stay at the Polyclinic", explained Eraković.
Eraković states that during the epidemic, Clinical I worked at an enviable level, so 300 operations were performed, the same number of births, 6 thousand X-ray services, 10 thousand outpatient examinations and over 150 thousand laboratory services.
