After almost six years since the committed crime, the investigators officially reveal what was suspected from the beginning in the answers to the questions of Television News. There is a possibility that Milutin Radović from Podgorica was an accidental victim of a bloody confrontation on May 30, 2014, when his friend Vinetu Strugar was killed.
"At the time of the commission of the crime, the victim MR was close to the Supreme Court, but he was not registered as a person of security interest, and the possibility that MR is an accidental victim in the reckoning of organized criminal groups cannot be ruled out," said the police administration.
Just like in the majority of mafia liquidations in Montenegro, the investigators did not determine who shot Strugar and his friend that night and on whose order, but there is a possible motive.
"The deceased VS was treated as a person of security interest in the records of the Police Administration, and it is suspected that this criminal offense was committed against him as a result of the activities of organized criminal groups," the police state.
The police and the Prosecutor's Office add what they have done in six years to bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice. The police tried to solve the crime by exchanging information with the police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Orders were passed for the autopsy of the body, orders for all the necessary expert examinations, namely: ballistic, trasological, shooting distance, presence of gunpowder particles, presence of GSR particles, chemical and DNA expert examination, while requests were submitted by this prosecution to the High Court in Podgorica for the orders for seizing receivers, searching apartments and vehicles, seizing video material from video surveillance, as well as seizing communications listings... The measures and actions taken so far have not yielded results aimed at elucidating the criminal offense in question," the Higher State Prosecutor's Office states.
At least three people are believed to have been involved in the murder. After leaving the cafe, Strugar and Radović headed towards the car, and when they reached the car, a "citroen" flew out of the parking lot, from which bursts of automatic rifle and "heckler" shots were fired at them. The killers then fled a kilometer away in a "citroen" to an underground garage, where they set fire to the car.
