The Radio-Television Council of Montenegro adopted the objection of TV News journalist Aleksandra Mudreša regarding the censorship of the video clip of the non-governmental organization Center for the Protection and Study of Birds in the morning program of the Public Service on July 17, from which only the shots featuring Mudreša were cut.
The Committee for Petitions and Complaints of Listeners and Viewers of the RTCG Council unanimously concluded that there was an oversight in this case, so the Council ordered the General Director of the Public Service Božidar Šundić to initiate disciplinary proceedings in order to determine who in the Television of Montenegro carried out technical intervention on the video video with the intention of cutting out the part where Mudreša is.
The Council also ordered that, in the same procedure, it should be determined whether during the controversial guest appearance of Jelena Vukašinović from CZIP, TVCG morning program host Dejan Bijelić or any other TVCG official prevented or suggested the guest Vukašinović not to mention the name of journalist Mudreša.
The Council of the RTCG also announced that it is not competent to determine whether in this case there was also discrimination against Mudresa and a violation of her honor and reputation.
The decision was made on August 10 at the session of the Commission for Petitions and Complaints and delivered to Mudresa yesterday afternoon, and the session was attended by its president Milan Radović and member David Delibašić, as well as the editor of TVCG's Morning Program Milica Babić.
