Pupils and teachers in municipalities where schools switched to distance learning due to the situation with the corona virus are once again faced with various problems and are now suffering the consequences of everything that the authorities did not do in the previous period, Olivera Leković pointed out in "Bojama jutra" on TV Vijesti. from the "Educational Community of Montenegro" Association.
Leković says that with the corona virus pandemic, perennial problems of the Montenegrin education system surfaced that are still not being solved - from inadequate school programs and textbooks, unequipped classrooms to poor conditions for children.
"Even though this is a global problem, we had to react better because we had time, a break of almost six months," Leković said.
Snežana Mijušković, Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, pointed out that many students and parents are confused because decisions were made without consulting experts.
Mijušković drew attention to the particularly difficult situation of poor families, single parents and parents with children with disabilities.
Leković also pointed out that they sent proposals to the Ministry of Education several times about how classes should take place, but there was no reaction.
Mijušković and Leković warn that the coronavirus and distance learning will leave big "holes" in the education of many generations of students. Leković says that many excellent students have already given up on their work, and that the "traffic light" system creates additional tension due to the anticipation of whether classes will continue at school or at home.
