The chief city architect of Podgorica, Filip Aleksić, reacted to the claims of URA councilor Luka Rakčević, presented in our report yesterday about the construction of a building on the hill of Gorica.
Aleksić claims that Rakčević once again demonstrated basic ignorance and for the umpteenth time tried to manipulate the public when it comes to the protection of Gorica.
He is surprised that Rakčević, since he is extremely interested in the topic of high-rise construction in Podgorica, is not aware of the fact that the capital has not issued building permits for more than three years and that since October 14, 2017, the verification of the necessary documentation for the construction of buildings has passed under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.
Aleksić also adds that MORT has unequivocally stated, which is easy to verify, that the building in question is being built according to a valid planning document and that it is not in the protected area of the Gorca hill, because it is a location that is at a lower elevation than the buildings in that area have been around for decades.
Aleksić also concluded that all Rakčević's talk about the protection of Gorica ultimately came down to a technical error by his service in which the numbers 2 and 6 from the cadastral parcel mark were permuted.
