When there was a public uproar two years ago due to endangerment of the Tara River due to the construction of the highway, the authorities promised to implement remediation measures in order to repair the damage in that area as much as possible.
However, Green Home assesses that there has been no progress regarding the protection of Tara, and that the landfills are still there, but the trough has been moved.
Although it is not satisfactory, the inspection claims that the situation on Tara is better than before.
The Ministry of Sustainable Development states that they are implementing UNESCO's recommendations, but they do not yet have concrete information on how that process is going.
