Reconstruction of the existing or new government. There is apparently no consensus in the government on this issue. Could things break the deadlock today?
"I don't believe that a final agreement can be reached, but I believe that some progress can take place in the sense that the positions of the leading subjects in the coalition will be closer, so that maybe by the end of July we will have some agreement on what will happen, it's all up to the game ", the journalist of the daily "Dan" Marko Vešović told TV Vijesti.
And the authorities have been trying to bring the positions of the parties closer together for some time. Nevertheless, the Democrats persist in the reconstruction of the Government, but the DF rejects that proposal and demands a new Prime Minister and a new Government. The media to which they give statements have announced that at today's meeting they will insist that Dont's formula be respected in the distribution of portfolios in the new government, which means that they would get the most seats. If this is not accepted, the DF will allegedly seek the formation of a technical government that would prepare extraordinary elections together with local ones, in the spring of next year, and they are also thinking of starting protests against the government of Zdravko Krivokapić from September 27.
"It hasn't been officially announced as far as I've seen. If it was, then we could declare it one of the biggest absurdities of our political scene, and there were a lot of absurdities. I believe that these meetings will bring some agreement. I am not sure that the deepening of this crisis suits anyone from the ruling coalition", says Vešović.
URE told TV Vijesti that at today's meeting they will insist that all MPs declare whether they stand by the Agreement signed by Krivokapić, Aleksa Bečić and Dritan Abazović on September 8 last year, and that they will not discuss any other issue before that. . According to the Agreement, the new Government will stick to the foreign policy priorities of Montenegro - the European Union and NATO and will not initiate changes to the national flag, coat of arms and anthem. The outcome of the negotiations is being awaited by the opposition, which is demanding early elections. However, they will not yet raise the issue of confidence in the Government in the parliament.
“About then-then. I think it is very necessary for the citizens of Montenegro to see what kind of government they elected and what kind of government they faced. They wanted change, they got change. I think that this Government needs some more time to show all its weaknesses, because so far it has not made any move that means the good of Montenegro, so that our citizens see what is best for them, and at the moment when they see it, we will definitely have an answer to everything these moves," said DPS MP Aleksandra Vuković.
The government was formed at the beginning of December after the DPS was defeated in the parliamentary elections after 30 years in power.
